Corey Vanhoose

Board Vice President
Centerpoint Energy

Corey VanHoose serves as a Construction Crew Lead for CenterPoint Energy, where he focuses on scheduling work for his crew and responding to emergencies such as gas leaks and hit gas lines. His leadership has been shaped by reading his Bible, attending church, participating in small groups, serving on a church team, and simply not being afraid to work hard. He joined the board because it felt like a great way to make an impact in the community and help where he can help. That same mindset guides his commitment to the mission, stepping in wherever there is a need. Corey is especially excited about the opportunities the new Logan County Animal Shelter will offer the community, including expanded volunteer opportunities. A lifelong resident of Logan County, Corey lives with his wife, Renae, their daughter, Jenna, and their little dog, DeMarini. In his free time, he enjoys shooting at the gun range and spending spring through fall at their place in Norris Lake, Tennessee.
